If there's one thing that I've always noticed about us Jews, we are so divided on so many issues but we still will always identify with being Jewish. There are Secular, Reform, Conservative, Orthodox, Agnostic, Atheist, even a few who are Messianic, but we will all always be Jews! Rabbi Jonathan Sacks puts it best;

"The beauty of creation is that Unity above creates diversity below, and among Jews more than most; no small people is more diverse, ethnically, culturally, attitudinally and religiously"

As we stated before you will find Jewish people in many different belief systems, Jew-Bu’s, Hin-Jews, secular, observant, right wing, left wing, and as all over the map they might be in their beliefs, Jewish culture and identity will forever be important to us as Jews we will all continue to do Passover Seders and Hanukkah celebrations till the end of time.

Why are we so diverse? ...There must be a reason! Maybe Yermiyahu was right (Yermiyahu 18:15, Tanakh)

“ … my people have forgotten me; they make offerings to false gods; they made them stumble in their ways, in the ancient roads, and to walk into side roads, not the highway, making their land a horror, a thing to be hissed at forever. Everyone who passes by it is horrified and shakes his head.”

Yes, we are very diverse, and people may shake their heads at us Jews, but may we never forget that we are all part of the human race and that we can all be one in Messiah. Isn’t this the reason? My favorite rabbi Shaul writes,

“there is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor freeman, neither male nor female; for in union with the Messiah Yeshua, you are all one.” (Galatians 3:28, Brit Hadashah)

Now that is real diversity, equality and inclusion!

We are diverse. Maybe there’s a reason.

Why are we so diverse?
